Program Updates
Interestingly.. nobody every complained about program updates so maybe it was just me that dreaded telling an end user that the program required a full program download to effect an update. A huge amount of time and work has gone into the new Update feature of the program of which 100% of these efforts are internal to the program.
It would best that if and when an update was needed for a program like this that in the only thing needed to be updated would be a file or two, not the whole darn program or even half of it. That was not totally possible with 3.0 because at minimum a full exe update was required. Having taken a completely modular approach to the new design I have designed CJ 40 so that only those features dependent on an Ebay change should require updating and even in those cases no more than one or two files would complete the update. I do not have a screen shot for the new Updater yet for this because that will come with the last phase of the Beta period. In theory, I can release CJ 10.0 sometime down the road and 4.0 could still be updated with the same files.
Cricket Dialer
Amazingly only CJ 3.0 offered its own dialer. It has done so from day one for Snipe safety reasons. Not a lot of problems were ever reported with the dialer however, me being the type that never can say "good enough," I improved the dialer four fold. With CJ 4.0 this will be first Snipe program to offer the ability for CompuServe 2000 users to use PC based Snipe Software.
International Interest in the program
CJ 3.0 is the most widely used Snipe program in the international arena. Only CJ 3.0
tried to provide for Ebay's international users. 
With CJ 4.0 comes many enhanced international features. CJ is the only Snipe program to offer a currency converter...
admittedly a simple one in 3.0 but take a look at the new CJ 40 currency converter!
ok... a bit of overkill here but, heh heh I just couldn't stop!
OK now here is an interesting one. In all Snipe programs you must tell it how many hours or provide for some kind of manual intervention and tell it what your time zone is and when again when it changes. Multi Sniping provides for unique challenge in that department. I have watched for a year now all my competitors programs fail their users in the Time Zone department. CJ 4.0 will never ask you what Time Zone you live in, how many hours you are from Pacific time, ever. All Snipes scheduled by you go through special time calculation algorithms that will automatically compensate local Snipe time for you. It doesn't matter where on planet earth you live!
Feedback
I only received one consistent complaint with the CJ 3.0 Feedback feature. Since 3.0's feedback feature was controlled by the database, there was not an easy way to just leave feedback for one user unless the user was first recorded in the database. Some end users do not use the database! The Feedback interface was improved and a provision to feedback one single auction not in the database was added. View Image
Synching With Ebay
CJ 3.0 was the first Snipe program to offer Atomic Synchs and the only Snipe program that currently offers Atomic Synching and Ebay time comparisons in order to make critical Snipe time adjustments. In the Spring of 2000 Ebay's servers went whacko as it applied to being synched with themselves. Combating this new wacky behavior CJ 3.0 introduced several new sophisticated Snipe time adjustment routines that working together with the Smart Snipe feature offer the most reliable Ebay time synch possible. Synching was perfected with a few CJ 3.0 updates but there was one feature lacking. Auto Synching at regular intervals. CJ 4.0 brings this to you.
Passwords
It didn't come up very often but when it did, the issue was a real concern on the part of the program's end user. Some didn't like their passwords stored in the registry or in a file or in a database where anybody could retrieve them.
CJ 4.0 offers 128 Bit Encryption technology. Should you wish to have your passwords encrypted so be it.
HTTP Protocol and Fire Walls
CJ 4.0 now provides for common ISP firewall protection schemes and allows for those users behind certain firewalls that require an HTTP program to submit an ID and Password.
