Power Chat

Several years ago I designed the only software program that interfaced with the eBay chat boards. After a few years in the market and with many very loyal users, some eBay changes were made that caused me to reflect on the bottom line. The program was successful, but back in the dim and misty, chat board users were made up of small groups of people and it appeared only those that spent many hours on the boards had any interest in a program like Power Chat. The bottom line was, a few sales a month was not paying for the maintenance of the program and I decided reluctantly to shelve the program.

A chat board user recently contacted me. He inquired about bringing back Power Chat. I still have all the source code and making the modifications to accommodate the new chat boards would not be a big issue. The program was never set up for discussion boards however so some thought must go into that before making the decision to resurrect Power Chat.

This survey will be used to determine the financial  viability of bring back Power Chat.

I have a soft spot for Power Chat. It was the second software program I wrote. I have kept the pages up on this site.
