Current Cricket Jr Update
Note: This patch will update Cricket versions 3.3.4 and above. If you have a lower version, you will need to uninstall what you have now then download and install the full program. To check your current version number, click Help and then About CricketJr.
A complete program update is
required due to Ebay changes and some big feature changes with Cricket if you
have version 3.3.3 or less.
Uninstall Cricket Jr via Control
Panel Add/Remove programs then download
and install the latest.
Whenever you install a Patch make sure the patch installs to the folder you installed the complete program.. mess that part up and the patch will not work.
You can perform a program update via the Cricket Updater or you can manually download the update and proceed to install the patch yourself.
Manually Download Cricket Jr Standard Edition Update
After downloading the above patch file, proceed with Installation of Patch

When the file has completed downloading, right click on the Windows "Start" button, and select "Explore."

Locate your C: drive (or other drive you may have just downloaded to) and then locate the folder where you saved the patch. Open the folder. (The file's name is cjpatch.exe)

Double click on the cjpatch.exe file. The WinZip self-extractor screen will appear.

Note the special instruction on this screen. Make sure you have no other Windows programs running especially Cricket Jr during the install. Click OK to begin.

The patch has been set up to automatically over-write certain files in Cricket Jr. The patch has been defaulted to install to Program Files\Cricket Jr\ If you installed to another path you will need to type in the path you originally installed to. If you get this part wrong, the patch will not install to the proper place.

Click Unzip. The patch will overwrite the the original installation files.

To test if the patch installed correctly, Run Cricket Jr, go to Help in the menu, click About CricketJr. Version should be the most recent.

You will want to go right to Program Options and perform the following operations

From the Time Tab - Click on the Display Synch Window button if you wish to view the Ebay Time comparison after each Atomic Synch.

From the Sniping Tab - Click the Warn Me button if you wish for Cricket Jr to warn you of high memory loads *when* Sniping. If you choose to be warned type in a percentage of memory load in the next field. This will be an arbitrary number depending your particular system. On my system I have CJ warn me if I meet or exceed 87%. In my case this would be just about equal to a 44% free system resources.
