Due to Ebay changes and large internal program changes if you have version 3.3.3 or less you need to reinstall a new Cricket Power Sniper and the updater in this case will not work.. In this case uninstall the program via Control Panel Add/Remove programs then proceed to the product download page and download a new Cricket.
Manually Download the Cricket Updater - Update
Click Help in the menu
Click Update
The Cricket Updater will load
Click the Message button to retrieve the most current message for the update.
Click the Check button
The CJ Updater will scan for updates available. If an update is available, the radio
button will remain available to you.
If the program requires a full download to effect an update, the Patch radio button will
not be available. If a patch is needed only, the Full radio button will not be available
to you after checking for updates. You can force a Full program download by clicking the
Full button then click the Download button.
After the Updater checks for updates and assuming a Patch is available:
If the Updater radio button becomes available to you it means an update to the program that does the updates needs to be downloaded. Select the updater radio button then click the Update button. After the new updater is downloaded, the current updater should close itself down so that you can install the new updater. If it does not, close the updater before proceeding. After the new updater is installed, from Cricket Jr, again open the Updater program and proceed to check again for any new updates available:
If the Patch radio button becomes available, click the Patch radio button then click Update.
The Updater will download the patch.
When complete, you will be prompted to close Cricket Jr. By clicking OK to the prompt, the Updater will close CJ. If CJ does not close, move the windows around a bit because you may have CJ asking whether you wish to disconnect from the Internet. (Say NO)
The Updater will load a window displaying the full path to Cricket Jr. With a right mouse click, over the path field, click Select All, again with the right mouse, click Copy. Click OK
When the Patch File loads, with a right mouse click in the default program path field, click Paste. The patch will now install to the proper directory.
The Updater will install the Patch. You can re-open CJ anytime.
